BLACKENED American Whiskey is a collaboration between Metallica and master distiller Dave Pickerell. It is a blend of bourbons and ryes finished in black brandy casks.
During aging, the whiskey is pummeled by low hertz sound waves (Metallica's music) in a process called "Black Noise." This sonic enhancement forces the spirit deeper into the wood, extracting more flavor.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Burnt caramel, oak, and honey.
- Palate: Cinnamon, clove, and fruit.
- Finish: Creamy with a hint of maple.
